Shortly after starting at CCC&TI in the Computer Technology Integration program, I joined several groups, including the Student Government Association, TRIO, and the National Society of Leadership and Success. Being involved has helped me accomplish my goals and benefit from new experiences. TRIO offered me the opportunity to meet fellow first-generation college students and have friends in that same situation, giving me the reassurance that I’m not the only one feeling overwhelmed. NSLS has helped me develop my own style of leadership and SGA has been a huge part of my success, thanks to the variety of responsibilities I’ve had.
Colossians 3:23 “whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord…” This verse is one of my mom’s favorites, especially when she is encouraging me to give my all. If I have a success story to tell, it would simply be: I do my best as if I’m doing it for the Lord and that is all I can do. CCC&TI has the nicest, most helpful faculty and staff possible. I have truly enjoyed my time at the school, and I’m very excited to see what the future holds for me.
