When I decided to return to school as a mother and working adult, I feared that I would be unable to keep up with the work. However, during my first semester at Blue Ridge Community College, I realized I had made the right decision. My enjoyment for learning was immediately reignited through the interesting and stimulating classes. The instructors were very helpful and encouraging, which enhanced my educational experience.  In addition, the encouragement from the instructors strengthened my determination to transfer to a four-year college and to complete my goals.

My community college experience has given me a strong foundation, which enables me to move forward on my scholastic journey. My experience at BRCC has empowered me to once again have faith in my academic ability. I look forward to the rest of my academic career with a newfound confidence and excitement for my future.
