Craven has proved to be an incredible stepping stone. When I began my time at Craven I was unsure of myself. I knew that I wanted to study English, but I lacked direction. Craven has provided me with priceless opportunities that I would not have been afforded otherwise. I am a member of Carolina Student Transfer Excellence Program (C-STEP), I hold a leadership position in Phi Theta Kappa honor’s society, and I am a supplemental instructor for Spanish. I am also looking forward to beginning work as a supplemental instructor for two literature classes this coming semester, my first job in my field.   

The incredible faculty and staff that I have met along the way have been an invaluable source of inspiration and encouragement. My love for the field of English and my growing passion for science have been fostered by amazing instructors. I have achieved things that I never thought possible because of the people at Craven that have pushed me to be all that I can be and to achieve more than I ever thought possible. Transfer options, job opportunities, and the world have opened up to me because of my time at Craven.
