As a busy wife and mother of three, I attended classes at Alamance Community College for two years before obtaining my Associate in Arts degree in December 2015. Going to ACC positively impacted my family’s life. With the help of many dedicated college faculty and staff members, I was guided onto a path toward success.

After meeting with an admissions counselor, I determined what steps were needed in order to achieve my career goals. In fall 2016, I expect to be a transfer student enrolled at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro working toward my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree and becoming a registered nurse. But I’m not stopping there. Next, I have plans to apply to East Carolina University’s accelerated master’s program for midwifery.

At ACC, I received help from tutors in the skills lab, writing center, and from all my wonderful instructors. It was because of the staff’s desire to see me thrive that I was able to accomplish as much as I have today.
