Apprentice Contests of the 2024 North Carolina State Fair

ApprenticeshipNC, the State Apprenticeship Agency under the North Carolina Community College System, will organize the Apprenticeship Competitions at the North Carolina State Fair 2024 from October 21 to 25, 2024. These competitions are an opportunity for Registered Apprentices in Masonry, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC-R, as well as Carpentry Pre-Apprentices from across the state, to test their skills and knowledge, win prizes, and build lasting connections with fellow tradespeople.

70th Annual Masonry Apprentices Competition

• Date: October 21, 2024
• Time:
  • Contest: from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
  • Prizes will be awarded at 1:30 p.m.

39th Annual Electricians’ Apprentice Competition

• Date: October 23, 2024
• Time: Starts at 8:00 a.m., awards will be presented at 2:30 p.m.

38th Annual Carpentry Pre-Apprentice Contest

• Date: October 24, 2024
• Time: Starts at 9:00 a.m., awards will be presented at 2:30 p.m.

20th Annual HVAC-R Apprentices Contest

• Date: October 25, 2024
• Time: Starts at 9:00 a.m., awards will be presented at 3:30 p.m.

37th Annual Plumbing Apprentices Competition

• Date: October 25, 2024
• Time: Starts at 9:00 AM, the awards will be presented at 3:00 PM.

Registration for the Apprenticeship Contest: from 8:00 a.m. on August 1, 2024, until 11:59 p.m. on September 6, 2024.
