Hari Nath was Founder and CEO of Technology Planning and Management Corporation, an IT management consulting firm, that was subsequently acquired by a large IT services firm in 2001. Prior to founding TPMC he served in various technical and management positions at UNISYS, Ernst and Young and Commonwealth of Virginia. Since 2001, Nath has served on several Boards of non-profit organizations and Town of Cary. Before joining the Board of NC Community Colleges in 2019, he was a member of the UNC Board of Governors (2011-2015) and UNC Chapel Hill Board of Trustees (2015-2019). Nath received his M.S. (Operations Research) degree from University of Missouri, Columbia, Missouri in 1971. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Mining) degree from University of Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India. He is married and has two children and five grandchildren.
