Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in finance, accounting, business, or a related field or comparable work experience.

Five years of increasingly responsible experience in non-profit organization(s) with asset development, operating revenue development, and planned giving programs.

Previous experience interacting with CEOs, Presidents, and other senior executives and administrators.

Preferred Qualifications

A Master’s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.

Position Description

Vision and Leadership:
Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan, strategic vision, and operational strategies to guide the Foundation’s operations as a support entity for FTCC.
Fundraising and Resource Development:
Direct fundraising activities, including annual giving, capital campaigns, planned giving, grant writing, and fundraising events such as the golf tournament and gala. The Executive Director is responsible for identifying, cultivating, and soliciting donors and applying for grant funding opportunities from among community members, businesses, and external philanthropic foundations. Additionally, the Executive Director plays a vital role as the primary steward in maintaining positive donor relations through personal visits and regular correspondence with donors.
Strategic Planning and Goal Setting:
Work collaboratively with the College President and FTCC Foundation Board to develop and implement strategic plans for the Foundation, which align with the College’s mission. The Executive Director will ensure that annual fundraising goals for the Foundation are established and met.
Foundation Board Management:
Work with the FTCC Foundation Board of Directors to achieve the goals of the Foundation and support the strategic priorities of the College.
Foundation Operations:
Oversee operational administration for the Foundation, including budget management, staff supervision, and ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Community Relations:
Build and maintain strong relationships with philanthropic foundations, individual donors, board members, community members, businesses, and other stakeholders.
Communication and Advocacy:
Represent the Foundation and the College to external audiences, advocating for the importance of philanthropy in supporting higher education.
