Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the electrical or HVAC industry
  • Active Electrical contractors License or HVAC contractor’s License preferred, or a willingness to obtain a license
  • Universal EPA 608 Certification (required for HVAC candidates)
  • Experience with residential, commercial, and industrial electrical control systems (for electrical candidates)
  • Proficient in load calculations and duct design, troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and installing residential and light commercial HVAC systems, including geothermal heat pumps
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work with students of diverse backgrounds and skill levels
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Diploma or associate degree in a related field
  • Experience using an LMS platform (such as Blackboard, Canvas, Moodle, or similar) for online, hybrid, or blended courses
  • Teaching or training experience.
