Part-Time Faculty, Respiratory Therapy (Multiple Openings)

An associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy from an academic institution accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC). 

Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy

Job Duties

Instruction
1. Assists and reports directly to the Respiratory Therapy Program Director. 
2. Assists with the preparation of program, laboratory, and clinical documents, as needed. 
3. Assists in planning and implementing the coordination of class, laboratory, and clinical experiences ensuring they are sufficient and relevant to meet program outcomes. 
4. Participates in the ongoing development, implementation, and evaluation of the respiratory therapy courses and programs to ensure alignment with CoARC standards. 
5. Works collaboratively with other faculty, clinical staff, and program administrators to ensure cohesive and effective educational environment. 
6. Attends faculty, college, program, and divisional meetings, as needed. 
7. Documents student academic outcomes related to clinical, class, and laboratory experiences. 
8. Supervising and evaluating students during clinical rotations at various affiliate healthcare organizations, providing feedback and guidance. The percentage or ratio of clinical instruction will vary from semester to semester based upon programmatic needs. 
9. Ensuring that clinical sites are appropriate and meet the necessary standards for student training. 
10. Participates in program evaluation and quality improvement activities. 
11. Stays current with advancements in respiratory care practices and technologies.
