RE: 2021-22 Tuition and Registration Fee Rates

G.S. 115D-5 states that “[t]he State Board shall have authority with respect to individual institutions… to establish and regulate student tuition and fees within policies for tuition and fees established by the General Assembly.”
The General Assembly has not enacted a tuition or registration fee increase during the current legislative session. Therefore, curriculum tuition charged to students for the 2021-22 academic year shall remain at current levels:
Residents: The per credit hour charge shall remain $76; up to a maximum per semester of $1,216, based upon 16 credit hours of instruction.
Non-Residents: The per credit hour charge shall remain $268; up to a maximum per semester of $4,288, based upon 16 credit hours of instruction.
Likewise, continuing education registration fees will remain at current levels and continue to be based on the course length, consistent with the following schedule:
