SUBJECT: Amendment of 1D SBCCC 700.98 Instruction to Captive or Co-Opted Groups
On January 21, 2022, the State Board of Community Colleges voted to amend 1D SBCCC 700.98
Instruction to Captive or Co-Opted Groups. This rule provides guidance related to the State
Board of Community Colleges approval of instruction to captive and co-opted groups. The
amendment modifies the general provisions on work-based learning (WBL) for captive and coopted
students.
The adoption will be effective February 1, 2022. The new title will be published on the NC
Community College System’s website, www.nccommunitycolleges.edu/sbcccode. For your
convenience, a copy of the rule in its final form is attached to this memorandum.
