On January 17, 2025, the State Board of Community Colleges voted to amend the State Board Code, 1C SBCCC 200.94 – Local College Personnel Policies. This amendment will incorporate paid parental leave into the list of required personnel policies of the local colleges in compliance with N.C.G.S. §126-8.6.
The amendment will be effective February 1, 2025. At that time, the amended rule will be published on the North Carolina Community College System’s website, State Board Code – NCCCS (nccommunitycolleges.edu). For your convenience, a copy of the rule in its final form is attached to this memorandum.
