ApprenticeshipNC selected as Apprenticeship Ambassador for second consecutive year by U.S. Department of Labor

The North Carolina Community College System and ApprenticeshipNC have been selected by the U.S. Department of Labor as one of 303 Apprenticeship Ambassadors nationwide.

Apprenticeship Ambassadors pledge to promote and expand awareness of the benefits of Registered Apprenticeships, identify and scale innovation practices and partnerships, increase access and support for underrepresented and underserved populations, and communicate the business case for Registered Apprenticeship as a mainstream workforce strategy.

ApprenticeshipNC fosters relationships with the 58 local Community Colleges in the North Carolina Community College System, as well as employers across the State, to create solutions for the workforce shortages being experienced in all business sectors.

“We are proud to work in partnership with the North Carolina Great 58 in their counties to support employer stability and growth by developing a pipeline of trained and committed employees which leads to a strong North Carolina workforce that attracts new business and industry to our State,” said Kathryn Castelloes, Director of ApprenticeshipNC.

The USDOL Apprenticeship Ambassadors Initiative connects ApprenticeshipNC with other organizations committed to promoting the value of Registered Apprenticeship.
