Justin Pedley

I have grown up and lived in Sanford, NC my whole life. After graduating from high school in 2011, I was not sure where I would end up in the career field. Growing up as a young adult, I have been fortunate to have many experiences ranging from engineering, culinary arts, and veterinary medicine. I enrolled at CCCC in 2016 and was accepted into the Veterinary Medical Technology program in 2017.

Since enrolling, I have been able to work full-time while maintaining a 3.8 GPA. Not only have I been able to learn a lot about the field of veterinary medicine, but I have also learned a lot about myself and the extensive veterinary community. CCCC and the VMT program has granted me opportunities like visiting dog shows, judging high school FFA competitions, attending the North Carolina Association of Veterinary Technicians (NCAVT) annual conference at NC State University, as well as becoming a Kennel Assistant for the CCCC Cougar Pets Colony Animals.

For varying reasons, some individuals are not able to attend universities. I am fortunate enough to call myself one of those individuals and attending CCCC has allowed me to flourish and chase after my dreams.
