Exciting news CCR Directors!

The North Carolina Community College System is moving forward with reviewing a new data and analytics system to support the functions of Title II. The Request For Proposal (RFP) for the new data management system requires vendors to produce a system that will track, report, query and analyze data needed for Title ll reporting.

In an effort tobe inclusive, a cross functional RFP committee has been convened to review and evaluate the RFP proposals. The committee includes the following Subject Matter Experts (SMEs): College and Career Readiness (CCR) Directors, CCR Data Managers, state and local Community College Information Technology staff, and NCCCS staff. The NCCCS Procurement office is leading the overall evaluation of the RFP applications. Please note, the committee is in the process of final reviews.

Esmeralda Ramirez: an amazing success story still in the making. Her journey literally began even before she was born. Esmeralda’s mother already had small children and was married to an extremely abusive man when she made a hard decision about her unborn child. She would get to the United States where this new baby could be born. Finally, on her fourth try, she made it to San Antonio. There, she found help from some compassionate people who helped her and managed to get a job taking care of dogs. (She now jokes about Esmeralda’s inexplicable love for dogs!) With the infant Esmeralda, she decided to go back to Mexico, not wanting her other children to think she had abandoned them.
