WIOA Title II grants available for adult education and literacy

RALEIGH – Organizations that provide adult education and literacy services may compete for grants from the NC Community College System.

The system’s College and Career Readiness Section is accepting grant applications through March 2 at 5 p.m. Funding is available under Title II of the federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act for the 2018-2021 fiscal years.

Organizations that have demonstrated effectiveness in providing adult education and literacy activities are eligible to apply for grants. Examples include local education agencies, community-based literacy organizations, faith-based organizations, nonprofit agencies and institutions of higher education.
