Generative AI and other technological advancements are changing the way we work and learn, and the pace of change is accelerating. The purpose of these regional forums is to understand why this matters, what it means for our state and region, and how we can work together to navigate the challenges and opportunities ahead to ensure North Carolina leads the nation.
This four regional forum series is co-hosted by the <a href="https://ncchamber.com/">NC Chamber</a>; <a href="https://www.myfuturenc.org/">myFutureNC</a>; <a href="https://www.nccommunitycolleges.edu/">NC Community College System</a> and <a href="https://www.nccommunitycolleges.edu/about-us/foundation/">Foundation</a>; <a href="https://www.ncssa.net/">NC School Superintendents' Association</a>; the <a href="https://www.ncsmt.org/">NC Science, Mathematics, and Technology Education Center</a> and the <a href="https://www.bwfund.org/">Burroughs Wellcome Fund</a>; and the <a href="https://spnetwork.org/">Successful Practices Network</a>. Participants include leaders from business, government, education, and community organizations.

WHEN: Friday, September 27, 2024 from 10am-2pm
WHERE: The forum will take place in the <a href="https://www.waketech.edu/about-wake-tech/administrative-offices/event-and-conference-services/southern-wake-campus">Southern Wake Campus Conference Center</a>, which is located on the <a href="https://www.waketech.edu/about-wake-tech/campuses-centers/southern-wake">Southern Wake Campus</a> of Wake Tech in Building L, 9101 Fayetteville Road, Raleigh, NC 27603 (see <a href="https://drive.google.com/file/d/1CjoeaKOupmM_dq34wwJmqRtDP0vBi-70/view?usp=sharing">map</a>). When you arrive, please follow the directional signage to the free event parking, which is adjacent to the building, and then to the entrance of the building. 
WHY: Generative AI and other technological advancements are changing the way we work and learn, and the pace of change is accelerating. The purpose of these regional forums is to understand why this matters, what it means for our state and region, and how we can work together to navigate the challenges and opportunities ahead to ensure North Carolina leads the nation.
WHO: The forum is co-hosted by the<a href="https://ncchamber.com/"> NC Chamber</a>;<a href="https://www.myfuturenc.org/"> myFutureNC</a>;<a href="https://www.nccommunitycolleges.edu/"> NC Community College System</a> and<a href="https://www.nccommunitycolleges.edu/about-us/foundation/"> Foundation</a>;<a href="https://www.ncssa.net/"> NC School Superintendents’ Association</a>; the<a href="https://www.ncsmt.org/"> NC Science, Mathematics, and Technology Education Center</a> and the<a href="https://www.bwfund.org/"> Burroughs Wellcome Fund</a>; and the<a href="https://spnetwork.org/"> Successful Practices Network</a>. Then, <a href="https://www.myfuturenc.org/people/cecilia-holden/">myFutureNC President and CEO Cecelia Holden</a> will facilitate the tabletop discussions featuring reflections from national and state leaders, including <a href="https://www.aspeninstitute.org/people/megan-bennett/">The Aspen Institute Senior Policy Associate for the Education and Society Program Megan Bennett</a>, the <a href="https://jmbendowment.org/person/dr-john-d-denning">Belk Endowment Senior Advisor John Denning</a>, The <a href="https://hunt-institute.org/about/meet-our-team/">Hunt Institute Director of State Engagement Allison Goff Clark</a>, and the <a href="https://members.nawb.org/event-contacts/stephanie-deese">North Carolina Association of Workforce Development Boards Executive Director Stephanie Deese</a>.
