The I/CAA is a state-wide agreement that enhances the transfer experience and guarantees the transfer of certain classes into UNC Universities and particpating NC Private Institutions. Other opportunities may exist.

A Uniformed Articulation Agreement outlines a specific set of courses to take to prepare for transfer between a dedicated associate degree and a bachelors degree.

A Guaranteed Pathway Agreement identifies seamless admission, enrollment or curricular opportunities for students.

The North Carolina Comprehensive Articulation Agreement is a statewide agreement governing the transfer of credits between North Carolina’s community colleges and its public universities. The CAA applies to the A.A. and A.S. only.

The Early Childhood Education Articulation Agreement promotes educational advancement opportunities for early childhood education students in order to complete a Bachelor’s Degree in Birth-Kindergarten teaching licensure program or a Bachelor’s Degree in a related Early Education non-licensure program.

This UAA provides a path for students who begin music studies at a community college and then transfer to one of the University of North Carolina Bachelor of Music programs.

Teacher Preparation students must meet applicable admissions criteria and policies designated by, and earn admission into, the UNC constituent institution of their choice.

This UAA provides a smooth transfer for community college students who wish to continue their education in teacher preparation at an NCICU Signatory Institution. This agreement does not guarantee student acceptance into any bachelor program at NCICU Signatory institutions. Teacher Preparation students must meet applicable admissions criteria and policies designated by, and earn admission into, the NCICU Signatory institution of their choice. These criteria and admissions requirements may include (but are not limited to) minimum GPA and Praxis scores and their associated timelines, as published by each university’s Bachelor Degree in Teacher Education-related programs.
