  • What do you love most about the NC Community College System? I love that the NC Community College System opens doors that might otherwise stay closed. For so many of us, community college was the bridge — between where we started and where we were destined to go. It’s personal for me because I’ve seen firsthand how it transforms lives, families, and entire communities through practical education and second chances. It represents the purest form of opportunity. It’s where ambition meets access. Nearly every North Carolinian is within driving distance of one of the Great 58. They meet people where they are, whether that’s a single parent re-skilling for a new career, a recent graduate finding their purpose, or an employer seeking local talent. It’s a system rooted in equity, built for the everyday dreamer who wants to change their life and their community at the same time.
