
Geoffrey Lang retired in 2020 after a distinguished career in technology, financial services, and corporate recruitment, capped by his role as Vice President and General Manager of the MetLife Global Technology Campus in Cary. In that role, he connected MetLife to the Triangle’s deep talent pool and helped establish the region as a center for financial-services technology.
Lang spent 22 years at IBM, where he developed deep expertise across technology and financial services, and previously served as Chief Information Officer at RBC Bank for seven years. In 2018, he was named CEO of the Year by Triangle Business Journal.
His board service includes the Raleigh Chamber of Commerce, the Cary Chamber of Commerce, the Wake Technical Community College Board of Trustees, Habitat for Humanity, and the Regional Transportation Alliance. As Chair of the Accountability and Audit Committee, Lang brings rigorous oversight and deep industry insight to the Board.
