John Kane is Chairman and Founder of Kane Realty Corporation, a Raleigh-based real estate development firm he founded in 1978. Under his leadership, Kane Realty has developed sustainable mixed-use communities, regional malls, neighborhood and community centers, office buildings, hotels, and health centers across North Carolina.
A graduate of Wake Forest University, Kane is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization, the Chief Executives Organization, and the World Presidents’ Organization. He brings to the Board deep expertise in business growth, regional economic development, and large-scale capital project execution.
Kane serves on the North Carolina Economic Development Board. His previous service includes leadership roles with the Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority, Duke Heart Center, the Research Triangle Regional Partnership, the NC Chamber, Duke Raleigh Hospital, Duke University Health System, and the NC Symphony.
