Mr. Ray Trapp

Ray Trapp is Vice President of Advancement for the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Greater Triad, where he leads fundraising, marketing and communications, donor engagement, and community impact during a period of strategic growth and expansion. He brings more than two decades of experience across nonprofit leadership, higher education, public service, and philanthropy. Ray previously served as Director of Communications and Development at Families & Communities Rising and in senior external affairs roles at North Carolina A&T State University. A former Guilford County Commissioner and U.S. Navy veteran, he is currently pursuing a doctorate in Organizational Leadership and Learning at UNC–Chapel Hill. Ray lives in Greensboro with his wife, Shannon, and together they are the proud parents of a blended family of six.
