Mr. Ray Trapp

Ray Trapp is Vice President of Advancement for the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Greater Triad, where he leads fundraising, marketing and communications, donor engagement, and community impact during a period of strategic growth.

Trapp brings more than two decades of experience across nonprofit leadership, higher education, public service, and philanthropy. He previously served as Director of Communications and Development at Families & Communities Rising and in senior external affairs roles at North Carolina A&T State University.

A former Guilford County Commissioner and U.S. Navy veteran, Trapp is currently pursuing a doctorate in Organizational Leadership and Learning at UNC–Chapel Hill. He brings to the Board a strong combination of external affairs expertise, public-sector experience, and a personal commitment to expanding educational and economic opportunity for North Carolinians in every community.
