- Your connection to community colleges? In addition to my education work in North Carolina, I have a personal connection to community colleges because my dad earned an associate degree in Nursing when I was four years old, the highest educational attainment in my family up to that point. This paved the way for my academic successes.
- What do you love most about the NC Community College System? I love the accessibility of the NCCCS and the breadth of opportunities it offers to students in North Carolina. From Career & College Promise courses for high school students to post-baccalaureate courses for aspiring teachers, NCCCS students can achieve their dreams of today and prepare for the workforce of tomorrow.
- A fun fact about you? I have visited all 50 states, each at least twice.
