Minimum Qualifications
- 2 year degree in Information Technology with experience in Business.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Information Technology (Computer Science) or Business.
- Experience in using AI (Artificial Intelligence) tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, Grok, etc.
- Familiar with the fundamentals and theory of AI.
Position Description
This is a part-time teaching position. The instructor will be responsible for teaching assigned courses, in accordance with NCCCS curriculum standards and course descriptions in addition to the standards and guidelines set forth by the program accreditation entity, maintain a current attendance roster, grade assignments and respond to student questions in a timely manner. The instructor will report to and work with the Lead Instructor of Information Technology on course content and quality to keep courses consistent.
Instructor’s duties include:
- Plan, create and maintain a classroom environment conducive to student learning.
- Teach essential material in accordance with the course description and industry standards.
- Encourage the development of critical thinking skills through appropriate classroom exercises and assignments.
- Track and document student progress.
- Communicate with students, supervisor, and WCC faculty/staff through the technological framework, such as email and Moodle provided by WCC.
- Complete course administrative paperwork in a timely manner (attendance, grades, etc.)
- Fulfill other responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
