Campus Safety Security Officer

• Must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be a U.S. citizenship or legal resident.
• Demonstrate good moral character and temperate habits.
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn new software systems.
• Valid North Carolina driver’s license with a clean driving record that meets the insurability requirements under Wayne Community College’s auto insurance policy.
• If not already certified, candidates must obtain and maintain certifications in First Aid, CPR, and AED.

• Prior related experience
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish

The primary responsibilities of this position are to maintain the existing campus population, ensure a safe environment, and enforce campus policies to promote the safety and security of the main campus and college property.
