Curriculum Standard Revisions and New Prefix – Sector Funding Approvals

The North Carolina State Board of Community Colleges has approved the following curriculum standard revisions and the new prefix sector funding:

Per 1D SBCCC 400.9 (b) A revision of an existing curriculum standard shall:

(1)         Have written concurrence by two-thirds of colleges approved to offer the curriculum program; and

(2)         Be in alignment with criteria outlined in 1D SBCCC 400.10(e).

(3)         The President of the North Carolina Community College System shall have the authority to approve or deny the revision of an existing curriculum standard. 

I am pleased to approve the requested revision for the following curriculum standards in compliance with 1D SBCCC 400.9 (b)

Veterinary Medical Technology (A45780) (Alignment Project)

Effective Term: Fall 2026

Alternative Transportation Technology (D60420) (Alignment Project)

Effective Term: Fall 2026

Digital Effects and Animation Technology (A30130) (Alignment Project)

Effective Term: Fall 2026

Aviation Systems Technology (A60200) (Alignment Project)

Effective Term: Fall 2026

Basic Law Enforcement Training (Certificate) (C55120)

Effective Term: Spring 2026

Emergency Medical Science (A45340)

Effective Term: Fall 2026

Interpreter Education (A55300)

Effective Term: Fall 2026

The State Board of Community Colleges has assigned the following new curriculum prefix to the North Carolina Community College System Sector Funding Formula:
