Academic and Enrollment Partnerships
Learn more about partnering with our colleges to set up an articulation, guaranteed admission or other agreement
The NCCCS Office helps institutions coordinate the development and signature of agreements. Agreement types may include:
- Articulation Agreements outline curriculum pathways between a particular program/s or degree types at the community colleges to a specific degree or set of degrees at the four-year institution. Articulation agreements must ensure the completion of an associate's degree prior to transfer.
- Guaranteed Admission Agreements ensure students will be admitted into a four-year institution upon successful completion of the associates degree, and when the learner meets a set of admission standards, such as a grade point average. These agreements do not have to guarantee admission into a particular major.
- General Education Transfer Agreements align NCCCS general education requirements with a waiver of general education requirements (in total or at the lower level) at the four-year institution.
- Other agreements may include specific scholarship opportunities, credential alignments, degree pathways for specific populations, or more.

NC State Wolfpack Guaranteed Admission Program
Through this collaboration, students enrolled in eligible academic programs at participating community colleges will have the opportunity to transition to NC State with guaranteed admission, provided they meet established criteria.
This program will launch in Spring, 2026.
Participation by the individual community colleges is optional. Agreements are signed between the colleges and the four-year institution. The NCCCS Office is not a signatory; rather it acts only as a coordinating body and process manager.
To begin the process of partnering with the System office, please reach out to Dr. Seth Marc Kamen, State Director of Transfer, Learning Recognition and Credential Alignment.
