Determined to Succeed: Keighley’s Journey from HSE to Healthcare

Keighley Fritze is a mother of two with another child on the way who has demonstrated remarkable determination in pursuing her education and career goals. After leaving high school in the 9th grade, Keighley enrolled in Davidson-Davie Community College’s College and Career Readiness (CCR) program with support from WIOA Title I NCWorks NextGen. She successfully completed her High School Equivalency (HSE) on April 29, 2025.
Keighley continued moving forward by completing Nurse Aide I (NA I) training and earning a place on the Nurse Aide Registry on August 28, 2025. She is now working toward completing Clinical Medical Assisting training as she continues to build a career in healthcare.
While pursuing her education and career goals, Keighley also works as a CNA while caring for her young children. Her ability to balance work, education, and motherhood demonstrates her dedication, perseverance, and commitment to building a better future for herself and her family.
Keighley’s accomplishments were further recognized through her induction into the National Adult Education Honor Society. Her journey is an inspiring example of how WIOA Title I NCWorks NextGen and Title II College and Career Readiness can help individuals overcome barriers, achieve educational milestones, gain valuable workforce skills, and continue advancing toward a sustainable career.
