Overview
The NC Career Coach Program places career coaches in high schools to help students explore career pathways, make informed postsecondary decisions, and connect with work-based learning opportunities. Currently funded at 45 community colleges across North Carolina, our 91 Career Coaches work closely with students, parents, educators, and business partners to provide career exploration resources, facilitate enrollment into educational pathways, and support seamless transitions to college or the workforce. To enhance their effectiveness, Career Coaches are required to complete the Facilitating Career Development (FCD) course, equipping them with essential skills to guide students toward meaningful career outcomes.
