AI in the Classroom: Course Design, Andragogy, and Academic Integrity

Examines AI-supported course design and assessment in alignment with the board-approved degree modernization competencies, project-based learning, and humanistic pedagogy. Includes practical approaches to assessment integrity that move beyond the detection arms race, transparent syllabus language for AI-assisted feedback, and building students’ AI fluency as an intended learning outcome rather than a side effect.

Target Audience: Open to all faculty, staff, and administrators across the NC Community College System.
