From Strategy to Practice: Holistic Student Support in Action | Eastern/Central Regional Meeting | James Sprunt CC

The North Carolina Student Success Center invites you to join this IN-PERSON Holistic Student Support Community of Practice Eastern/Central Regional Meeting, an interactive gathering designed to move holistic student support from conversation to practice. 

This is more than a meeting. It is an opportunity to see what is working, learn how it was built, connect with the people doing the work, and take practical ideas back to your campus. 

Participants will have opportunities to: 

• Experience holistic student support in action and explore promising practices that address barriers to student success. 
• Learn directly from colleges doing the work, including how initiatives were started, who was involved, lessons learned, and what other colleges can replicate. 
• Explore the Student Parent Blueprint and co-design experience developed in partnership with Jobs for the Future (JFF), the Urban Institute, and the North Carolina Student Success Center. Hear how student parents were intentionally brought into the process, how their voices shaped institutional conversations and decisions, and how colleges can use similar approaches on their campuses. 
• Connect with community, statewide, and national partners that can strengthen support for students and families. 
• Engage in college-to-college conversations around basic needs, student parents and childcare, mental health and well-being, food insecurity, transportation, financial stability, resource navigation, and other areas of holistic support. 
• Take ideas home with practical next steps, resources, and connections that can support implementation. 

Come ready to experience holistic student support differently. Ask questions. Share what is working at your college. Make new connections. And leave with at least one promising practice, one new connection, and one action you can take back to your campus.
