Join the Movement: Holistic Student Supports CoP Statewide Check-in
North Carolina community colleges are leading a statewide movement dedicated to advancing student success beyond the classroom through the integration of Holistic Student Supports (HSS).
The HSS Community of Practice (CoP) is committed to addressing the most pressing barriers students face, including funding pathways/financial stability (identified as a top priority), childcare, transportation, and mental health.
Following highly engaged regional kick-offs, colleges developed specific institutional plans around key focus areas such as establishing One-Stop/Navigation Hubs, creating Childcare/Student-Parent Supports, and integrating Faculty and Staff Engagement in HSS.
Don’t miss the Statewide Check-in on 1/16 (10:00–11:30 AM) to:
-
Synthesize Design Input: Review the collective design challenge input and major themes from the four in-person meetings.
- Refine Strategies: Engage in collaborative discussions to turn promising ideas into actionable strategies and necessary infrastructure.
-
Contribute to Change: Ensure your campus has a voice in co-designing how this group will collaborate and share impact statewide, ultimately working to remove barriers for North Carolina students.
-
Collaborate: Engage with other colleges in your region to discuss localized topics.
This is more than a meeting; it is a collaborative space where we are accelerating efforts to help every student thrive. Secure your spot now to ensure your college has a voice in accelerating these efforts for North Carolina students.
