The Legal Affairs Office provides comprehensive legal assistance and consultation services to the State Board of Community Colleges, the System President, System Office staff, and administrators from the 58 Community College System institutions. Legal Affairs is also responsible for issuing and maintaining the State Board of Community Colleges Code (regulations governing the community college system, institutions, and proprietary schools); serving as Co-Chair to the State Residency Committee; and editing and negotiating contracts originating from the System Office.

Compliance with the 1C SBCCC 200.94 Personnel Policies
Pursuant to 1C SBCCC 200.94, each local board of trustees, shall submit copies of personnel policies upon adoption. Please submit copies of these policies, including amendments, to the NC Community College System President's office upon adoption by electronically sending them to ncccpolicies@nccommunitycolleges.edu or via CD to NCCCS, Attention: Legal Affairs, 5001 Mail Service Center, Raleigh, NC 27699-5001.
