More Than A Job NC (MTAJ-NC)
Building Skills. Building Confidence. Building NC’s Workforce.
About the Program
More Than A Job NC helps Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) participants build the skills, training, and support they need to attain and retain meaningful employment. Participants can access job-focused training, skills development, and essential supports—such as childcare, transportation, books, and supplies—to reduce barriers to work.
In partnership with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS), workforce development boards, and community organizations, More Than A Job North Carolina connects individuals to high-quality training aligned with North Carolina’s labor-market needs. This collaborative approach promotes economic stability for participants while strengthening the state’s workforce.
