All 58 North Carolina Community Colleges Join Guaranteed Admissions Program with NC State

All North Carolina community colleges have now joined Wolfpack Connect, a guaranteed admissions program launched through a partnership between the NC Community College System and NC State University.
Through Wolfpack Connect, North Carolina community college students who earn an associate degree, maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher, and meet NC State’s transfer deadlines will be guaranteed admission into more than 100 eligible majors and concentrations at NC State.
Within three weeks of the program’s announcement, every community college in the state committed to participating—creating a clear, unified pathway from all 58 community colleges to NC State.
“This is a game-changer for our students,” said Dr. Jeff Cox, president of the NC Community College System. “Our colleges have always been the most affordable and accessible option for higher education in North Carolina. Now, with guaranteed admission to NC State, students across the state can start their journey close to home and know that a path to one of the nation’s top research universities is waiting for them.”
NC State welcomed nearly 1,700 transfer students in fall 2025, more than half of whom came from North Carolina community colleges. Wolfpack Connect builds on this strong track record of student success by making transfer opportunities more transparent, predictable, and accessible.

Wolfpack Connect begins accepting eligibility forms in January 2026 for students planning to enroll at NC State in fall 2026. Students must have fewer than 30 transferable credits completed or in progress, be enrolled at or planning to enroll at one of North Carolina’s 58 community colleges, and pursue one of NC State’s eligible majors.
