Cristian McLaughlin

A small vignette on the front of Piedmont Community College’s student planners describing the Student Government Association caught the eye and interest of Cristian McLaughlin.  After e-mailing the advisor of the SGA and conversing back and forth McLaughlin jumped in the “deep end” and ran for SGA President. 

Serving on the Executive Board of Student Government has been one of his most successful experience.  Serving as President and now Parliamentarian McLaughlin has grown both academically and emotionally.  Through SGA McLaughlin was able to overcome so many barriers and has been provided with many opportunities, information, and friendships.
