For Community Colleges: New Assessment Patches Update | Flat File Submission Chart
New tests have been approved by the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Career, Technical and Adult Education (OCTAE) to assess Measurable Skill Gains. OCTAE announced in the Federal Register the approval of an additional test, test forms and delivery formats that are determined to be suitable for use in the National Reporting System (NRS) for Adult Education for a seven-year period. OCTAE approved the following assessments: The Tests of Adult Basic Education (TABE), Forms 11 & 12; and the Comprehensive Adult Student Assessment System (CASAS) Reading GOALS. These tests have been aligned to the College and Career Readiness standards.
