Presidential Search Committee Agrees to Hire External Search Assistance

RALEIGH – The State Board of Community Colleges Presidential Search Committee met for an organizational meeting today via teleconference and voted unanimously to hire an executive search firm or consultant to assist them in identifying potential candidates for the next President of the North Carolina Community College System.

The committee will begin reviewing potential templates for a request for proposal during the coming days with further discussion on the RFP process and timeline to come at its next meeting. No date or time has been set for the next committee meeting.

The committee, tasked with managing the search for a new System President, reiterated its commitment to a deliberative, thorough hiring process. The current System President, Dr. R. Scott Ralls, will become the President of Northern Virginia Community College in September.
