Sarah Gibson
Sarah Gibson began her journey at Central Piedmont after finishing homeschooling. It was a perfect match due to its low cost of attendance and it gave her the opportunity to figure out what she wanted to study.
“My instructors were awesome and they truly helped me figure out my career path,” she said.
Sarah always had an interest in constructing things and figuring out how they worked. Her curious nature matched up perfectly with the Mechatronics Engineering Technology program. She earned her associate degree in mechatronics then decided to further develop her industry knowledge by obtaining a two-year degree in engineering.
“I wanted to pursue engineering because it makes people’s lives and jobs safer, easier, better, and more productive,” she said.
