Snow in forecast means later start for State Board of Community Colleges meeting on Jan. 18
RALEIGH – Snow in the forecast has prompted the State Board of Community Colleges to delay the start of its meeting on Jan. 18.
To allow more time for road conditions to improve after the predicted snowfall, the board’s Personnel Committee will now meet at 12:45 p.m. Thursday instead of 11:30 a.m. The board’s issues luncheon has been postponed until February.
All other committee meetings Thursday afternoon will proceed as previously scheduled.
The full board will reconvene at 9 a.m. Friday as scheduled. The board’s Transition Committee, which is conducting the search for the community college system’s next president, will meet Friday at 11 a.m.
The meetings are open to the public and will take place at the NC Community College System Office, 200 W. Jones St.
The board meeting agenda and other materials are available here.
