State Board of Community Colleges to meet Jan. 18-19; Transition Committee to meet Jan. 19
RALEIGH – The State Board of Community Colleges will meet Jan. 18 and 19 at the NC Community College System Office, 200 W. Jones St.
The board’s Transition Committee, which is conducting the search for the community college system’s next president, will meet Jan. 19 at 11 a.m.
The meetings are open to the public.
The board meeting will begin Jan. 18 at 11:30 a.m. with a Personnel Committee meeting, followed at noon by an issues luncheon focusing on the Residency Determination Service. The Residency Determination Service is a centralized, uniform process for determining residency for tuition purposes and for administration of state financial aid. Presenters will be Dr. J.W. Kelley, associate vice president for student services at the NC Community College System; Elizabeth McDuffie, executive director of the NC State Education Assistance Authority; and Pat Kaiser, vice president of technology and project development at the College Foundation Inc.
Committee meetings will resume at 1:30 p.m.; the full board will reconvene Jan. 19 at 9 a.m.
