State Board of Proprietary Schools to Meet
RALEIGH – The State Board of Proprietary Schools will meet Friday, November 4, 2016 at 10 a.m. The meeting is open to the public and will take place at the North Carolina Community College System Office, 200 W. Jones Street in Raleigh.
The Board is responsible for oversight of operations concerned with the licensing of certain for-profit post secondary educational institutions offering non-degree programs to adult citizens in North Carolina, and not licensed by any other state authority as outlined in N.C.G.S. § 115D-89.4.
At this meeting, the Board will take action on a legislation proposal, State Board of Community Colleges Code and recommendations for initial licensure of two institutions to the State Board of Community Colleges, which retains licensing authority by state law.
