State Board of Proprietary Schools to Meet

RALEIGH – The State Board of Proprietary Schools will meet Friday, May 6, 2016, at 10 a.m.  The meeting is open to the public and will take place in the State Board Room at the North Carolina Community College System Office, 200 W. Jones Street in Raleigh.

The Board is responsible for oversight of operations concerned with the licensing of certain for-profit postsecondary educational institutions offering non-degree programs to adult citizens in North Carolina, and not licensed by any other state authority as outlined in N.C.G.S. § 115D-89.4.

The Board will make recommendations for licensure of these institutions to the State Board of Community Colleges, which retains this licensing authority by state law.
