Craig continues to bring this innovative technology to golf courses nationwide.
About the Business
FlagMate™ automates the collection and delivery of golf hole location data, replacing manual processes with accurate, reliable information. The technology is designed to improve course management, support golfers with better course information, and bring greater consistency to the game.
About
Craig M. Woodall is a U.S. Air Force veteran and former medical laboratory technician who brings a disciplined, standards-based approach to technology development in golf. His background in clinical diagnostics instilled a "scientific methodology" mindset where accuracy, repeatability, and real-world validation are not just goals, but requirements.
Before founding FlagMate™, Craig spearheaded DroneHance, where he pioneered top-down data capture and analysis for golf courses. Through this work, he uncovered a fundamental gap in the industry: while every yard of the course was being visualized from above, the most critical point of the game, the hole itself, remained trapped in manual, imprecise tracking methods.
To solve this, Craig is currently developing FlagMate™, an automated system designed to record and deliver precise golf hole location data with consistency. By applying his background in automated laboratory systems to golf, Craig is building a solution that eliminates manual error and provides more reliable course data. Craig is now seeking to bring FlagMate™ to market, transforming the final stage of the game into a high-precision, data-driven experience.
