About
Dan Spangler is a Marine Corps veteran, entrepreneur, and founder dedicated to building businesses that solve real-world problems. After being medically retired from the military following a combat injury in Iraq, Dan faced a difficult transition to civilian life. It was during this time that he adopted a rescue dog named Spanky—an experience that not only changed his life, but ultimately shaped his career.
In 2010, Dan founded A Dog’s Dream, a full-service dog resort in North Carolina. Over the next 14 years, he grew the company into a trusted community brand, serving thousands of families while maintaining consistent growth—even during economic uncertainty. His leadership and impact earned recognition through the Community Fabric Award for Business Leadership.
Dan has since expanded his focus to helping other entrepreneurs succeed through his consulting firm, Top Dog Associates, where he provides practical, experience-driven guidance to business owners. His latest venture, Rinse-A-Poo, is an innovative, patent-pending product designed to improve sanitation and efficiency in pet care facilities and beyond.
With over 20 years of experience in the pet care industry, Dan combines operational expertise with a deep understanding of customer needs. He is passionate about creating scalable solutions, mentoring business owners, and continuing to build ventures that make a meaningful impact.
