Phydesia Lewis

About
Phydesia Lewis serves as Director of the Small Business Center at Alamance Community College, where she works with aspiring and established entrepreneurs to plan, launch, and grow successful businesses. Since joining the college in 2022, she has brought a broad range of experience spanning business consulting, workforce development, business credit, sales leadership, and entrepreneurship.
With more than 30 years of experience in business-to-business consulting and leadership, Phydesia has guided business owners through business credit strategies, organizational growth, and business development. Prior to joining Alamance Community College, she served as Workforce Business Services Coordinator for the Piedmont Triad Regional Council, partnering with employers, economic developers, educational institutions, and community organizations to address workforce needs and connect businesses with training and grant opportunities.
A native of Concord, North Carolina, Phydesia earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a minor in Speech Forensics from North Carolina A&T State University and completed graduate studies in the Master of Public Administration program through Liberty University and UNC Pembroke. She is also a proud graduate of Guilford Technical Community College, where she earned a diploma in Cosmetology and received the President's Award for Outstanding Graduate. As a licensed cosmetologist, she brings both entrepreneurial experience and a firsthand appreciation for the transformative impact of community colleges.
Phydesia is especially passionate about supporting entrepreneurs in the microbusiness sector, helping business owners with fewer than ten employees build strong foundations for long-term success while strengthening their local communities.
