Who’s Leading the Work
The North Carolina Community College System (NCCCS) is leading a coordinated effort to help colleges navigate the opportunities and challenges of artificial intelligence in education, workforce development, and operations. Through collaboration across the System Office, community colleges, and subject matter experts, this work focuses on developing guidance, resources, and best practices that support responsible innovation, student success, and future workforce readiness across all 58 colleges.
AI Leadership Council
The AI Leadership Council serves as a system‑wide advisory and governance body for the North Carolina Community College System, guiding strategic direction related to artificial intelligence and future workforce readiness. The Council brings together leaders from across academic, technology, student support, and workforce development functions to help the System navigate rapid technological change with intention and coordination.
