Samuel M. Taylor Memorial Life Sciences Scholarship
Established in memory of Samuel M. Taylor, a founder and president of NCBIO, this scholarship helps eligible students enrolled in life sciences courses continue their education towards an associate’s degree. Awards include up to $3,000 per year to cover tuition, fees, and books
Student Eligibility Requirements
Qualifying applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be residents of North Carolina and eligible for in-state tuition.
- Be enrolled in life science courses in a qualifying program.
- Maintain a cumulative grade point average at or above the level required for graduation.
- Continue enrollment for the duration of the scholarship at the college where they were. enrolled at the time of the scholarship award.
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
- Complete the NC Community Colleges General Scholarship Application form.
- Submit an essay explaining your interest in the life science field of study, your goals after graduation, and how the scholarship will help you financially.
