NC Scholarship

This program provides financial assistance up to $3,000 to eligible students attending a community college within North Carolina.

NC Community Colleges Foundation Special Recognition Scholarship

Supported by the System’s Foundation, this scholarship recognizes the outstanding efforts of students representing disability identity and in honor of those who have served our country.

NC Community Colleges Foundation Scholarship for Health Careers

The System’s Foundation also awards scholarships for students working towards an associate’s degree in health professions.

Wells Fargo Technical Scholarship Health Careers

Each community college may award a Wells Fargo Technical Scholarship each academic year.

Golden LEAF Community College Scholarship

The Golden LEAF Foundation offers scholarships for students from qualifying counties who demonstrate financial need.

George W. Ballard Memorial Scholarship

To apply for the George W. Ballard Memorial Scholarship, you must be a student in the Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration program at Guilford Tech Community College, Gaston College, or Alamance Community College.

Allen Ryan Todd Scholarship

The Allen Ryan Todd Scholarship celebrates his passion for learning and reflects his family's belief in contributing to a greater purpose.

State Employees Credit Union (SECU) Foundation Scholarship

A two-year scholarship, the SECU Foundation awards 116 scholarships valued at up to $5,000 each to students within the System.

Blue Cross Blue Shield Foundation of North Carolina Firefighter Stipend and Scholarship Program

The Blue Cross Blue Shield Foundation of NC Firefighter Stipend and Scholarship Program provides stipends of up to $1,000 for eligible community college students pursuing NC Firefighter Certification courses or courses leading to an eligible associate degree.

Samuel M. Taylor Memorial Life Sciences Scholarship

Established in memory of Samuel M. Taylor, a founder and president of NCBIO, this scholarship helps eligible students enrolled in life sciences courses continue their education towards an associate’s degree.

T.E.A.C.H. Scholarship

T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood (Teacher Education and Compensation Helps) Scholarship Program upgrades the level of education of teachers working with young children while making the educational process affordable, increasing wages, and reducing turnover. 

North Carolina Longleaf Commitment Grant

The Longleaf Commitment is a grant program for 2023 North Carolina high school graduates who will attend one of our state’s “Great 58” community colleges starting in the Fall 2023 semester.
